Lynford Gardens Holiday Cottagess

If you are an avid bird watcher there is no better place to see an abundance of birds than here at Lynford Gardens.

Bird watchers congregate with their long lenses in the area on a regular basis to spot the rare Hawfinch, Firecrest and Crossbills birds. The Marsh Tit, Nuthatch, Bullfinch and Brambling are among many of the birds that can be seen in the area.

You may have heard of ‘Lynford Gate’. This is actually located on our land and is allegedly the best location in the whole East Anglia to view Hawfinches during the winter and spring months.

For our holiday cottage guests we have a small permanent hide which is located halfway down the ‘tunnel’ and only a few hundred yards from the cottages. This gives you a much better view of the birds than the general public would be able to from  the path. So if you are a keen photographer and looking to get that extra special photograph, you won't get a better location that the view from our hide.

The owners themselves are passionate about the wildlife and have plenty of bird feeding and water stations dotted around the grounds. You will probably see Chris regularly filling up the feeders with seed as they eat us out of house and home!

We would love you to share your wildlife photos either on our website (please email your photographs to lynfordholidaycottages@gmail.com) or on our Instagram page @lynfordholidaycottages
